Mrs. Tracy strives to create a safe classroom atmosphere that allows children to ask questions, explore, experiment, create, make decisions, and develop ideas. She believes in fostering a sense of mutual respect between herself, her students, children's families, and coworkers as well as between the children and their peers.

Mrs. Tracy has been teaching at Greene Elementary School since the Fall of 1989. She is a graduate of Dows Community School, received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary education from the Univerisity of Northern Iowa, and earned a Masters Degree in Effective Teaching and Elementary Administration from Drake University. She also holds endorsements in reading and early childhood education and became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2004.

Mrs. Tracy recently co-authored a chapter with Nor Hashidah Abd-Hamid in a text published by NSTA press called Exemplary Science in Grades PreK-4. She currently serves as a workshop presenter for UNI's Regents Center and is a member of the Greene Community School District's design team.

Personal interests include spending time with her family, traveling with her husband Tim, taking long walks with her dog Max, reading, watching old movies, collecting tops and antique butter molds, reading, and listening to all kinds of music.
